Microsoft 365 Archive

Frane Borozan - November 15, 2023

Today is the day when Microsoft will most likely announce Microsoft 365 Archive at #MSIgnite. ๐Ÿ”

Lately a lot of clients are approaching us if we can help with their storage challenges, below are some excerpts from the feedback we get:
โ“ ย We have really large sites in terms of space consumption, we wish to report on what is taking up the most space, split per file type, versioning ,etc.
โ“ sites are growing 20GB per day and we would like to have better visibility on why that is happening, who is dumping files so that they can avoid having to always spend on new storage.
โ“ it would be great to have visibility on the SharePoint storage (versioning) as we have concerns about storage quotas.
โ“ We are starting to get concerned on storage, we have a couple more months until we run out of storage.
โ“ We need to quickly gain insights into storage consumption as we’re nearing their capacity limit, currently at around 90%.
โ“ storage consumption is the immediate challenge. We want to see all site collections and versions where users are spending storage $$. We want to trim the number of versions down to 100, but we need to see where data is being spent

Before deciding what is the candidate for the Archival in the Microsoft 365 tenant, it is important to understand where this data goes, where the data is being spent. Our analytics say that most of the storage is in the file versions! ๐Ÿ˜ง ๐Ÿ˜ง ๐Ÿ˜ง ๐Ÿ˜ง

Looking forward to todayโ€™sย #MSIgnite to learn what Microsoft will announce.ย ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽ‰
